Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in customer, supply, and service contract drafting, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Indian, US, and European contract laws.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with contract management databases.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and commercial contract terms.
- Basic understanding of income tax and GST laws.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other business optimization techniques is desirable.
Role and Responsibilities
The Manager – Legal Contract Management will be responsible for:
- Contract Drafting and Review: Drafting commercial contracts, highlighting high-risk areas, and discussing mitigations with relevant teams.
- Coordination: Acting as a liaison between internal teams (supply chain, sales, legal) and external stakeholders (vendors, customers).
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring contract compliance and adherence to legal standards.
- Contract Management: Preparing and maintaining contract templates, tracking contract validity, and managing a central repository of contracts.
- Performance Evaluation: Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance and taking corrective actions for non-compliance.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency.
- Legal Support: Providing legal advice on contract-related issues and supporting supply chain teams in invoking bank guarantees or drafting legal notices.
