JSA is inviting applications for the position of Associate in their Corporate/M&A/PE practice area at the Mumbai office. This role is an excellent opportunity for legal professionals with 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience, particularly those who have worked with Tier 1 or Tier 2 firms. The ideal candidate should also have experience as a Company Secretary.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Associate position at JSA, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- 1 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 law firm.
- Experience as a Company Secretary is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Law, M&A, and Private Equity transactions.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Role and Responsibilities
As an Associate in the Corporate/M&A/PE practice area, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and private equity investments.
- Conducting legal due diligence and preparing due diligence reports.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents such as share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and investment agreements.
- Advising clients on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Keeping abreast of legal developments and contributing to the firm’s knowledge management initiatives.
