Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is offering a paid internship opportunity as part of its second edition of the MEA Internships Programme for 2023-24. This program aims to provide valuable exposure to interns and focuses on gender inclusivity and diversity in qualifications, domicile, and socio-economic status.
About Organization
The Ministry of External Affairs is the government body responsible for managing India’s external affairs, including diplomatic relations, international organizations, and policy formulation. The MEA plays a crucial role in representing India’s interests abroad and facilitating diplomatic communication and cooperation.
Eligibility
– Indian citizens with a minimum qualification of a graduate degree from a recognized university.
– Candidates in their final year of an undergraduate program where an internship is a mandatory part of the curriculum are also eligible.
– Applicants must be under 25 years of age as of December 31 of the internship year.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns will engage with various aspects of the Ministry’s functioning, including its attached offices, public interface, and the role it plays in assisting Indian citizens. They will gain insight into diplomatic processes and the inner workings of India’s foreign policy.
Perks
– A stipend of INR 10,000 per month to cover basic expenses.
– One-time to and fro air travel costs, subject to the prevailing economy class fare between the state capital and Delhi, will be reimbursed.

– Full-time internship based in Delhi.
