Eligibility
Eureka Forbes is looking for a Litigation Counsel with the following qualifications:
- Post-Qualification Experience (PQE): 2-3 years.
- Expertise in Consumer Law, Negotiable Instruments Act (NI Act), Labour Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
- Experience in handling litigation and arbitration for FMCG, FMCD, or Service Industry, or having managed similar cases in law firms/private practice.
- Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil, as well as those residing in or around Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Litigation Counsel, the key responsibilities include:
- Managing and representing the company in consumer disputes, civil litigation, 138 cases (cheque bounce cases), and arbitration across India.
- Handling cases in courts and other legal forums related to consumer protection, labour law disputes, and the Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Coordinating with external law firms and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless legal operations.
- Travelling extensively to manage legal proceedings across different locations in India.
- Drafting legal documents, preparing case strategies, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously while maintaining a proactive approach to resolving disputes.
