Eligibility
To be eligible for the Chief Legal Advisor position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a position equivalent to a District Judge. This role requires extensive knowledge of legal procedures, litigation, and advisory work, especially in the context of public utilities and corporate governance.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Chief Legal Advisor, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic legal counsel on all matters pertaining to MSEDCL’s operations.
- Managing and overseeing legal disputes and litigations involving the company.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and policies.
- Liaising with external legal counsels and government bodies on legal matters.
- Guiding the organization on regulatory and policy issues that may affect business operations. The role will require a high level of decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
