About the Publication

The Centre for Labour Studies and Research (CLSR) at Bennett University is hosting an International Conference on Contemporary Developments in Labour and Industrial Laws. The conference aims to address emerging challenges in labour laws caused by globalization, digital transformation, and socio-economic changes. Selected papers will undergo a rigorous review process and may be published in a reputed journal with an ISBN, offering a platform for high-quality academic contributions.

Theme

The conference will focus on Contemporary Developments in Labour and Industrial Laws, with the following sub-themes:

  1. Historical Evolution and Emerging Frameworks in Labour Laws: Evolution of Indian and global labour laws.
  2. Labour Rights in the Age of the Gig Economy and Digital Transformation: Legal challenges in gig economies, impact of AI, and workforce transition policies.
  3. Labour Rights, Sustainability, and the Green Economy: Green job initiatives and equitable participation in sustainable industries.
  4. Labour Rights, Social Justice, and Inclusion: Addressing workplace gender inequality and protections for informal workers.
  5. Contemporary Labour Law Reforms and Enforcement Mechanisms: Global comparisons of labour codes and judicial innovations.

Eligibility

  • Who Can Apply: Academicians, researchers, professionals, students, and representatives of governmental/non-governmental organizations.
  • Co-Authorship: Allowed for up to two authors.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract:
    • Word Count: 1000–1200 words.
    • Include 5 keywords and a cover page with the paper title, author(s) details, and contact information.
    • Submit via email to clsr@bennett.edu.in.
  • Full Paper:
    • Word Count: 5000–8000 words.
    • Submissions should adhere to the Bluebook (21st edition) citation style and include original, well-researched content.
    • Submit in Microsoft Word format to clsr@bennett.edu.in.
  • Formatting:
    • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt for main text, 14 pt for headings.
    • Line Spacing: 1.5.
    • Margins: 1 inch on all sides.

Important Dates

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: January 5, 2025.
  • Notification of Abstract Selection: January 10, 2025.
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: February 15, 2025.
  • Conference Dates: February 27–28, 2025.

Registration Fee

Details regarding the registration fee will be shared after abstract acceptance.

Mode

The conference will be held in offline mode at Bennett University, Uttar Pradesh.

  1. Prepare your abstract/full paper as per the guidelines.

  3. For selected abstracts, complete the registration process as per the acceptance email.
