About the Organisation
BIRAC is a Public Sector Enterprise set up by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. BIRAC aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in biotechnology and bridge the gap between industry and academia. It provides support to emerging biotech enterprises and has a significant role in the development and commercialization of biotechnology products and technologies.
Eligibility
- Qualification: LL.B. from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Post Qualification, between 03 to 10 years of experience. At least 03 years of experience as a legal practitioner in Central/State Government, Autonomous Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, or as a Legal Advisor in any reputed organization.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Consultant (Legal) at BIRAC, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal advice and support to BIRAC on various matters, including compliance, contracts, intellectual property rights, and regulatory issues.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as agreements, contracts, and MOUs.
- Representing BIRAC in legal proceedings and negotiations.
- Ensuring that BIRAC’s operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Liaising with external legal counsel and managing legal risks.
