This position is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in contract management, legal documentation, and statutory compliance in the manufacturing/automotive industry. The role involves managing legal disputes, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Eligibility
– Academic Background: LL.B; LL.M preferable
– Experience: 16-18 years in a relevant legal role
– Prior experience in contract management, legal documentation, and statutory compliance in a manufacturing/automotive plant environment
Role and Responsibilities
1. Contract Management and Legal Documentation:
– Manage the contract life cycle from drafting, vetting, review, and negotiation of various contracts, including bank guarantees, terms & conditions, international commercial contracts/agreements, engagement letters, letters of comfort, memorandums of understanding, and indemnity bonds
– Map risks and liabilities for appropriate contracts
– Work on Contract Management Software
2. Legal and Statutory Compliance Management:
– Handle in-house statutory and legal compliance management software in a manufacturing/automotive plant environment
– Coordinate with different production verticals and shops to ensure strict compliance through on-site audits
– Conduct legal research and advise on compliance and policy-related matters
3. Litigation:
– Deal with various legal disputes and provide legal opinions to minimize liability to the business
– Handle civil, criminal, labor, and arbitration matters independently, including briefing counsels, coordinating with external counsels, and preparing research notes
