About the Competition
The 12th RCL National Moot Court Competition, 2024, is a flagship event organized by Rayat College of Law. Previous editions of this competition have been highly successful, with participation growing year by year. The competition is known for its challenging propositions, expert judges, and competitive participants, making it a highlight in the moot court calendar. The 2024 edition aims to continue this legacy by providing a platform for law students to sharpen their advocacy and legal reasoning skills.
The competition focuses on various legal topics, allowing participants to showcase their understanding of legal principles, case laws, and statutory interpretations. While the specific problem for the 2024 competition is yet to be released, previous editions have covered a wide range of issues, including constitutional law, criminal law, and civil law, ensuring a stimulating and intellectually challenging experience.
About the Opportunity
This moot court competition offers participants the chance to engage in simulated court proceedings, argue complex legal issues, and enhance their knowledge of the law. It is a prestigious event that attracts students from top law schools across the country. The competition also provides networking opportunities with legal professionals and fellow students, making it an excellent opportunity for participants to grow both academically and professionally.
Eligibility
The competition is open to students enrolled in either a 3-year or a 5-year integrated law program. Each team must consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher. All participating teams are expected to adhere to the dress code and conduct themselves in a manner befitting the dignity of the courtroom. Teams are identified by unique codes and not by their institutions to maintain impartiality.
Prizes
The competition offers cash prizes worth ₹25,000, along with additional incentives:
- Winning Team: ₹11,000 + 1-year subscription to SCC Online Web Edition
- Runner-up Team: ₹8,000 + 1-year subscription to EBC Learning
- Best Speaker: ₹5,000
- Best Researcher: ₹5,000
All participants will receive certificates of participation and 1-month access to SCC Online Web Edition.

Registration Process
The registration fee for the 12th RCL National Moot Court Competition is ₹1,200 per team. This fee covers participation in all stages of the competition, including the preliminary, quarter-final, semi-final, and final rounds.
