About the Competition
The National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, 2024, organized by Surana & Surana International Attorneys in collaboration with National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, offers law students a prestigious platform to showcase their advocacy skills in criminal law. The National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition, 2024, will be held in a hybrid format. The virtual preliminary rounds are scheduled for October 26, 2024, followed by the on-campus rounds at NUSRL Ranchi on November 15-16, 2024. This moot competition focuses on criminal law, providing law students with an opportunity to dive deep into this area through extensive legal research, preparation of memorials, and oral submissions. Open to all undergraduate law students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. courses from recognized universities, the competition promises an intellectually stimulating experience.
There is no limit to the number of teams from a single institution, and participants will benefit from valuable networking opportunities with legal experts and peers across the country.

Prizes
The competition offers generous cash prizes and other incentives:
- Winning Team: ₹21,000
- Runner-up Team: ₹11,000
- Best Memorial: ₹6,000
- Second Best Memorial: ₹4,000
- Best Student Advocate: ₹5,000
- Second Best Student Advocate: ₹3,000
In addition to these prizes, three one-year complimentary SCC Online Web Edition subscriptions worth ₹72,000 will be distributed to the winning team. All winners across categories will be considered for internships at Surana & Surana International Attorneys, based on team and location preferences. Additionally, all participants will receive one month of access to the SCC Online Web Edition, valued at ₹1,099.
