About the Competition
The Justice Murtaza Husain Memorial National Moot Court Competition, organized by the Unity Moot Court Committee, is an exciting platform for law students across India to showcase their advocacy and legal research skills. Now in its ninth edition, this moot court competition will take place from November 22nd to 24th, 2024. The competition seeks to offer participants a simulated courtroom experience, allowing them to engage in in-depth legal research, draft strong memorials, and present persuasive oral arguments.
About Unity Post Graduate College, Lucknow
Unity Post Graduate College, established in Lucknow, has the distinction of introducing the five-year integrated law program under the aegis of Lucknow University. The institution aims to provide quality legal education and serve as a catalyst for social, political, and economic transformation. Guided by the legacy of its founder, Justice Murtaza Husain, the college continues to focus on developing well-rounded legal professionals skilled in both trial advocacy and judicial administration.
Through this moot court competition, Unity P.G. College strives to offer law students a chance to apply classroom knowledge in a practical environment, while contributing to the development of critical legal analysis.
Prizes
Participants stand to gain significant rewards, which include:
- Best Team: INR 20,000
- Runners-up: INR 15,000
- Best Memorial: INR 6,000
- Best Speaker: INR 5,000
- Best Researcher: INR 5,000
Additionally, all participants will receive a Certificate of Participation, and awards will be presented during the Valedictory Ceremony on November 24th, 2024.
Registration Process
To participate, teams must register through the official registration form available online. Registration can only be completed using the form provided, and the deadline for registration is October 30th, 2024. A registration fee of INR 3,000 (without accommodation) or INR 6,000 (with accommodation) must be paid via UPI ID, QR code, or bank transfer. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable, even in cases of withdrawal.
Incomplete or email registrations will not be accepted, and participants must strictly follow the guidelines provided in the brochure and the registration form.
