About the Organisation

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Paid Internship at FSSAI, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants should be students pursuing post-graduate studies, or legal, engineering, and technical graduates with an interest in food safety.
- Fresh graduates who have completed their degree in relevant disciplines may also apply.
- Applicants must possess their own laptops for use during the internship.

Role and Responsibilities
Selected interns will be assigned to different divisions at FSSAI headquarters, regional offices, or laboratories based on their academic background and technical skills. They will work on projects related to:
- Food and nutrition management processes.
- Assisting with legal or technical research and policy formation.
- Contributing to food safety audits, regulation, and standard-setting.
Interns will have the opportunity to gain practical exposure and enhance their understanding of food safety, nutritional practices, and public health policies.

- Stipend: Deserving interns will receive a stipend of Rs 10,000 for the entire internship period.
- Certificate: All interns will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the internship, based on their final report/presentation evaluation.
- Work Environment: FSSAI will provide working space, internet, and other necessary resources. However, FSSAI will not cover lodging, travel, or boarding expenses.
Mode and Location
The internship is full-time and will take place across various FSSAI divisions, including the Headquarters (HQ), Regional Offices (ROs), and Laboratories (Labs). The interns are expected to manage their own local travel and accommodation as required.
