Theme

The central theme of the colloquium is “Environmental Law and Policies.” This encompasses a wide array of subtopics including environmental challenges, sociological perspectives on the environment, and the development and impact of environmental laws and policies. The colloquium encourages interdisciplinary approaches and innovative research that address current and emerging issues in environmental law.

Eligibility

As Paper Presenters:

  • Assistant professors, including those working as guest faculty members.
  • Legal professionals.
  • Ph.D. scholars who have completed their Ph.D. degree or are currently pursuing Ph.D. research on topics related to environmental challenges, sociological perspectives on the environment, or environmental laws and policies.
  • Applicants must be 35 years or younger.

As Other Participants:

  • Faculty members with a keen interest in environmental law.
  • Students pursuing LL.M. degrees are encouraged to apply and attend the program.

Submission Guidelines

  • Draft Papers: Participants are required to submit their draft papers by August 31, 2024.
  • Format: Submissions should be well-researched, original, and adhere to academic standards.
  • Evaluation: Papers will be evaluated based on their relevance to the theme, originality, depth of research, and clarity of presentation.

  • Date of the Event: September 16, 2024

Registration Fee

  • INR 300/-: The registration fee is applicable only if the candidate’s paper is selected for the conference. Selected candidates will receive a separate link via email to complete their payment.

The colloquium will be held on-site at the Faculty of Law, Delhi University, providing participants with the opportunity to engage directly with peers and experts in the field.
