Eligibility
To be eligible for the internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Law students currently enrolled in a recognized law school, preferably in their third year or beyond in a 5-year law course or second year and onwards in a 3-year law course. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficiency in legal research (with a strong grasp of databases like SCC Online, Manupatra, etc.) and drafting skills. Candidates should also have solid knowledge of drafting petitions, affidavits, and other legal documents.
- Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with at least one prior internship in a law office or legal department. However, freshers will also be considered.
Role and Responsibilities
The selected intern will be involved in various tasks, such as:
- Legal Research: Assisting with research assignments for ongoing litigation cases, helping build strong legal arguments.
- Drafting Work: Supporting the drafting of legal documents, including petitions and pleadings.
- Court Visits: Accompanying lawyers to court hearings, observing proceedings, and taking notes for future reference.
- Administrative Tasks: Helping with filing, documentation, and other administrative work required in the office.
