Eligibility
To be considered for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Education: Final-year law students or recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) are eligible to apply.
- Skills: A strong understanding of legal principles, particularly in contract law and compliance, is essential. Candidates should also possess excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and exceptional problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract Management & Legal Documentation: Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. Ensure that all contracts align with relevant laws and regulations.
- Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay updated on legal developments and assess their impact on the organization. Provide guidance on compliance-related matters and assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and audits.
- Corporate Governance: Support the legal team in managing corporate governance matters, including drafting board resolutions, maintaining meeting minutes, and handling regulatory filings. Ensure the proper maintenance of corporate records and documentation.
- Risk Mitigation: Assist in identifying potential legal and regulatory risks, assess their impact on the organization, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Processes and Communications: Execute legal and compliance tasks efficiently, support in drafting legal documents, and maintain clear communication within the legal team and other departments. Help bridge communication gaps between the legal team and other departments to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into the company’s broader operations.
- General Support: Provide general support to the legal and compliance team by participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.
