Founded on the principle that experience is more valuable than ownership, the company is building an Amazon-like e-commerce platform for rentable products, targeting 200 million urban Indians. With fulfilment centres in major cities across India, SharePal has served over 50,000 customers, saving them Rs 50 crores. The company, currently a team of 25, is looking to expand and welcomes new talent to join its dynamic environment.
Eligibility
The ideal candidates for this internship will:
- Be currently enrolled in an LLB program or possess a recognized law degree.
- Have strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify and analyze legal issues.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Have a keen interest in the startup environment (a plus).
- Be available for a full-time, in-office internship starting between 8th June 2024 and 13th July 2024.
- Be willing to relocate to Bangalore if not already based there.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns at SharePal will be responsible for the following:
- Conducting research and analysis of relevant laws and regulations related to rental agreements, consumer protection, etc.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as demand letters and notices of default, in line with legal guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborating with internal teams (customer service, operations) to gather necessary information and evidence for recovery cases.
- Communicating effectively with external vendors and service providers involved in the recovery process.
- Assisting with the management and tracking of recovery cases, ensuring timely resolution.
- Conducting legal research on emerging trends and issues impacting the rental industry.
- Attending legal hearings or meetings (if applicable) and taking detailed notes.
