About the Competition
The 5th Dr. B.S. Goel Memorial National Moot Court Competition, organized by IPEM Law Academy, Ghaziabad, invites participation from undergraduate law students across India. The competition commemorates the esteemed Dr. B.S. Goel and aims to foster legal research, analytical thinking, and advocacy skills among budding lawyers.
About the Organization
IPEM Law Academy, established in 2002, offers five-year integrated LLB, B.A.LL.B, and B.COM.LLB programs. The academy is renowned for its exceptional academic curriculum, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and commitment to socio-cultural objectives and corporate interfaces. With a robust alumni network and a diverse student body, IPEM Law Academy is dedicated to providing a conducive environment for experiential learning and legal education.
Theme
The theme of 5th Dr. B.S. Goel Memorial moot court competition focuses on concepts under Information Technology with a special emphasis on the role of intermediaries and constitutional rights. Participants will engage in a stimulating clash of legal minds, showcasing their mastery of legal principles and persuasive advocacy.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all undergraduate law students enrolled in law schools recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Submission Guidelines
- Team Composition: Each team should consist of two speakers and one researcher.
- Memorial Submission: Teams must prepare and submit written memorials based on the provided moot problem.
- Formatting: Submissions must adhere to the formatting guidelines specified by the organizing committee, which will be provided upon registration.
Important Dates
- Registration Deadline: June 20, 2024 (11:59 PM IST)
- Clarification of Moot Problem: July 1, 2024
- Memorial Submission Deadline: July 15, 2024
- Competition Dates: August 31 and September 1, 2024
Registration Fee
The registration fee is Rs. 2500 per team. This fee covers participation for all three members of the team.
Mode
The competition will be held in-person at the IPEM Law Academy campus in Ghaziabad, providing a real-world courtroom experience for participants.
