Criss Financial Limited is seeking a skilled and dynamic Regional Legal Manager to join their Legal Department at the Head Office in Hyderabad. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for legal professionals with expertise in handling contracts, agreements, and legal proceedings. The position demands robust legal acumen in corporate matters, including experience with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) or banks, making it an excellent opportunity for mid-senior level legal professionals.

Eligibility
Candidates must hold a Bachelor or Master of Law degree from a recognized university and possess 7-12 years of legal experience, preferably in an in-house legal function. Prior work experience in NBFCs or banking institutions is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of legal proceedings, contract negotiation, and statutory compliance, as well as strong skills in managing litigation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and documents based on business requirements.
- Advising stakeholders on legal risks and providing actionable insights to mitigate those risks.
- Initiating and managing legal proceedings against delinquent customers, including issuing demand notices and proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and Payment and Settlements Systems Act, 2007.
- Handling SARFAESI proceedings as needed.
- Coordinating with legal counsel and internal stakeholders on litigation matters, ensuring timely filings and tracking the progress of ongoing cases.
- Reviewing credit documentation, including term sheets and facility documents, for financial arrangements with banks and institutions.
- Responding to legal and statutory notices served on the company.
- Providing legal inputs on the company’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
