Athena Legal is seeking a qualified Associate or Senior Associate to join its Core Criminal practice team in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in criminal litigation, including trial court proceedings, client investigations, bail applications, and appearances before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the Associate/Senior Associate position at Athena Legal, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience in criminal litigation.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in appearing before trial courts.
- Experience in assisting clients during investigations.
- Competence in arguing bail applications.
- Familiarity with appearing before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court and Supreme Court in criminal appeals, revisions, bails, and quashing.
- Well-versed in cross-examination and other trial court proceedings.
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
The Associate/Senior Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Court Appearances:
- Represent clients before trial courts, Delhi High Court, and Supreme Court.
- Argue bail applications and handle criminal appeals, revisions, and quashing.
- Client Assistance:
- Assist clients during investigations and provide strategic legal advice.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, understanding their legal needs.
- Legal Proceedings:
- Conduct cross-examinations and manage other trial court proceedings.
- Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and case files.
- Case Management:
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies for criminal cases.
- Ensure thorough preparation and organization of case files and documentation.
