About Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Research (BVIMR)

About the Moot Court Competition
The Moot Court Society of BVIMR’s Department of Law is organizing this national-level competition to honor the legacy of Dr. Patangrao Kadam. The competition aims to provide a platform for budding lawyers to engage in rigorous legal debate and practice. The moot proposition primarily involves complex issues related to the Juvenile Justice Act, the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act. Participants are expected to go beyond these themes and explore various dimensions of law to argue their cases effectively.
Eligibility and Team Composition
The competition is open to students enrolled in either a three-year LL.B. course or a five-year B.A. LL.B. program at any law school or university in India recognized by the Bar Council of India. Teams can consist of two to three members, with two speakers and one researcher. In teams with only two members, both will act as speakers. Importantly, the competition allows multiple teams from the same institution to participate, encouraging a wider range of perspectives and arguments.
Registration Process and Fees
The registration fee for the competition is INR 3,000 per team. The registration process involves two stages. First, teams must make the payment through NEFT. Following the payment, they must fill out a Google Form and attach the payment receipt.
Event Location and Accommodation
The competition will be held at the BVIMR campus in Paschim Vihar, New Delhi. The campus is conveniently located near the Paschim Vihar East Metro Station, making it easily accessible. However, participants need to arrange their own accommodation, as the institute will not provide lodging. The student core team is available for assistance with accommodation and travel queries.
Prizes
The winning : INR 21,000
Runners-up: INR 11,000.
In addition, there are prizes of INR 5,000 each for the Best Speaker (Male and Female) and the Best Memorial.
All participants will receive certificates, and winners will be awarded trophies along with cash prizes.
