Eligibility
To be considered for the Legal Executive position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council.
- Preferably, a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in handling legal matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and documentation.
- A Master’s degree in any branch of science with a qualification as an IP Agent or an LLM in Intellectual Property is required.
- Candidates should also have at least 2 years of professional experience in activities such as patent drafting, filing, searching, analysis, landscaping, prosecution, and drafting license agreements.
Role and Responsibilities
The Legal Executive will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advice and support on a wide range of issues pertaining to the institute’s operations.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Representing the institute in legal proceedings and liaising with external legal counsel.
- Conducting legal research and keeping abreast of changes in laws relevant to the institute’s activities.
- Assisting in policy formulation and implementation.
