Eligibility
In accordance with Section 84(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Chairperson of MPERC should be a person of:
- Ability, integrity, and standing.
- Adequate knowledge and demonstrated capacity in dealing with issues related to engineering, finance, commerce, economics, law, or management.

Role and Responsibilities
As the Chairperson, the candidate will be responsible for:

- Collaborating with government agencies, electricity boards, and private stakeholders to improve electricity distribution and supply within the state.
