About Manipal Education Group
Manipal Education Group, with over 60 years of excellence in higher education, has been a pioneer in fostering academic brilliance across various disciplines. In 2011, this legacy was extended with the establishment of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), a self-financed state university set up at the invitation of the Government of Rajasthan. MUJ’s Faculty of Law has been a frontrunner in legal education in Rajasthan. The university offers a range of programs, including Five-year Integrated BBA LL.B. (Hons.), BA LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programs. About the Competition
The Manipal Ranka International Moot Court Competition is organized in collaboration with the Ranka Public Charitable Trust and is supported by ASM Law Chambers and JRA Legal Solutions. Esteemed partners like SCC Online and SCC Online Times further bolster the competition’s prestige. The event promises to be an intellectually stimulating experience, drawing participants from law schools worldwide.
The competition’s theme, International Commercial Arbitration, is highly relevant in today’s globalized legal environment. Arbitration has become the preferred method of resolving international commercial disputes, making this competition a valuable learning experience for future legal professionals.
Eligibility and Registration
The competition is open to students enrolled in any undergraduate law program.
- Provisional Registration: Participants must fill out a Google form and pay a fee of INR 3,000.
- Final Registration: Once the memorials are accepted, and the team is selected for the oral rounds, an additional fee of INR 6,000 must be paid to confirm participation.
This two-step process ensures that only the most committed and prepared teams make it to the final rounds, maintaining the high standards of the competition.
Prizes
The competition offers significant cash prizes and recognition for outstanding performances:
- Winners: INR 20,000, Trophy, and Certificate of Appreciation
- Runners-Up: INR 10,000, Trophy, and Certificate of Appreciation
- Best Speaker: INR 5,000, Trophy, and Certificate of Appreciation
- Best Memorial: INR 5,000, Trophy, and Certificate of Appreciation
- Best Researcher: INR 5,000, Trophy, and Certificate of Appreciation
