The Ministry of Law and Justice Internship 2024 offers LLB students a unique opportunity to gain practical legal experience. This internship program allows students from any stream to work alongside legal professionals, contributing to the functioning of India’s justice system.
About Organization
The Department of Justice, under the Ministry of Law and Justice, is responsible for the administration of justice in India. It oversees legal and judicial reforms and ensures the effective functioning of the justice delivery system in the country.
Eligibility
– Indian students who have completed their 2nd year and are entering the 3rd year of a three-year LLB degree course.
– Students who have completed the 4th year and are entering the 5th year of a five-year LLB degree course.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns will be trained in:
– Research and referencing work.
– Specialized areas such as Access to Justice, e-Courts services, Fast Track Special Courts, and National Mission for Justice Delivery & Legal Reforms.
– Development of infrastructure facilities in the district and subordinate judiciary.
Perks
– Interns will receive a stipend of Rs. 5000 upon completion of the internship.
– A certificate of internship will be awarded on satisfactory completion, which requires 90% attendance.
Mode and Location
– The internship is a full-time program.
– Location: Department of Justice, Jaisalmer House, 26 Man Singh Road, New Delhi – 110011.
Interns are required to attend physically and cannot pursue other courses/work during the tenure.
