Eligibility
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in litigation and arbitration proceedings.
- Proficient in handling both civil and criminal matters.
- Well-versed with the judicial and court processes in India.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use judgment, analyze facts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Expertise in drafting legal documents and formulating replies to legal notices.
- Familiarity with managing MIS for litigation work assigned to the legal department.
- Knowledge of educational laws, labor laws, and legal issues related to the education sector is a plus.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage litigations and arbitration proceedings, including dealing with contractual disputes.
- Formulate replies to legal notices and coordinate with external lawyers.
- Brief advocates and counsels on both civil and criminal matters, including writs.
- Manage the MIS for all litigation work assigned to the Legal Department.
- Advise on litigation and pre-litigation matters, including troublesome practice matters and formulating strategies.
- Draft and review associated documentation such as notices, rejoinders, plaints, written statements, etc.
- Advise on evidentiary-related issues.
- File criminal complaints with police and civil cases like injunctions and suits relating to contracts/agreements.
