About the Competition
The National Blog Writing Competition on ADR and Arbitration Law is a collaborative effort by the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and the Competition and Commercial Law Review (TCCLR). This competition aims to provide a platform for students to engage in contemporary research and discussion on various issues in ADR and arbitration law. The TCCLR blog seeks to stimulate high-quality legal research and discourse on topics related to competition law, arbitration, and commercial law, serving as a valuable resource for both academia and industry.
Theme
The competition invites participants to explore a range of themes relevant to ADR and arbitration law. These include:
- The Recording of Evidence: Examining the role and challenges of oral testimony in international commercial arbitration.
- The Race for a Primary Institution for Arbitration in India: Analyzing what makes a global arbitration hub and India’s progress toward this goal.
- Technology in Arbitration: Evaluating the role and ethical implications of AI in international commercial arbitration.
- Mediation 2024: Investigating the rise of commercial mediation in India and its legislative and institutional developments.
- Public Policy, Arbitrator Bias, and Beyond: Identifying impediments to the enforcement of awards in India.
- An International Arbitration Act or a Specific Arbitration Bench: Discussing the potential benefits and challenges of these proposals for an arbitration-friendly India.
Eligibility
The National Blog writing competition is open to students currently enrolled in a full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year integrated LLB program, or those pursuing an LLM degree or equivalent. Participants must be registered in these programs at the time of submission.
Submission Guidelines
- Word limit: 1200-1500 words.
- Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified alignment.
- Sources must be hyperlinked; footnotes and endnotes are not allowed.
- The submitted work must be original, unpublished, and non-plagiarized.
- Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of 2 authors.

Mode and Location
The competition is conducted online, and submissions must be made through the provided Google form.
Submission Procedure
To register, participants must complete the Google form available here. Pay the registration fees via the Christ University Online Payment Portal and upload a screenshot of the payment along with the submission.
