Eligibility
P SQUARE LEGAL LLP seeks law students currently pursuing an LL.B. degree. The ideal candidates should possess:
- Proficiency in legal databases (e.g., Manupatra, SCC Online) and MS Office.
- A personal laptop for work.
- A vehicle for traveling to courts or client meetings.
- Previous internship experience in corporate, civil, criminal, or family law is advantageous but not mandatory.
Role and Responsibilities
As a legal intern at P SQUARE LEGAL LLP, you will engage in substantive legal tasks while working closely with experienced attorneys. Your responsibilities will include:
- Corporate & Civil Litigation: Assisting with legal research, drafting legal documents, preparing cases, and attending court hearings and client meetings. You will help with corporate disputes, regulatory compliance, breach of contract, and property disputes.
- Criminal Law: Supporting the preparation of defense cases, conducting case law research, drafting legal notices, filing bail applications, and attending court proceedings related to criminal matters.
- Family Law: Assisting with cases related to divorce, custody disputes, maintenance claims, and other family law issues by conducting legal research and drafting relevant documents.
This internship provides valuable hands-on experience, allowing you to develop critical skills while contributing to meaningful legal work.
Perks
P SQUARE LEGAL LLP values its interns and offers a stipend ranging from ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 per month. This acknowledgment of your commitment enhances your internship experience. Additionally, the firm respects your personal time, providing weekends off (Saturdays and Sundays). The position is part-time, with the potential for transitioning into a full-time associate role based on performance.
Mode and Location
This internship is based in Ayyappa Society, Madhapur, Hyderabad. Interns will work in a part-time capacity, balancing their academic commitments with valuable legal experience in a professional setting.
