Eligibility
Candidates applying for Chief General Manager (Legal) at NHAI must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute.
- Have at least 17 years of service in Group-‘A’ Pay Scale of Pay Band-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (pre-revised in CDA pattern equivalent to Pay Level-10 (56100-177500) of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) or equivalent level post or higher on a regular basis.
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of law related to contractual matters, arbitration, legislative matters, or land acquisition.
Role and Responsibilities
The Chief General Manager (Legal) will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advice and guidance on complex contractual issues, arbitration proceedings, legislative implications, and land acquisition matters.
- Representing NHAI in legal proceedings and negotiations.
- Drafting and vetting legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Advising senior management on legal strategies and compliance matters.
- Overseeing the legal team and ensuring adherence to legal standards and policies.
