Eligibility

To be eligible for this Short Service Commission, candidates must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their LLB degree. This applies to those who have completed a three-year professional course after graduation or a five-year integrated course after 10+2. Additionally, candidates must have a valid CLAT PG 2024 score, which is mandatory for all applicants, including those who are LLM qualified or currently appearing for LLM. Candidates must also be eligible for registration as advocates with the Bar Council of India or their respective state councils and must have graduated from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Judge Advocate in the Indian Army, selected candidates will be responsible for providing legal support and services to the military. Their duties may include advising military commanders on legal matters, handling court-martials, and overseeing legal proceedings within the military. They will also be involved in the drafting of legal documents, contracts, and other legal instruments relevant to the operations of the Indian Army.
