This on-site contract position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and is ideal for mid-senior level candidates with a background in law and critical thinking. The role primarily involves the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts for both Indian and US jurisdictions, providing legal support to Lowe’s business operations in India.

Eligibility
The ideal candidate for this role is a graduate with an LLB or LLM and has 6 to 8 years of work experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) or law firm. The candidate should possess a strong background in reviewing and drafting global, US, and Indian contracts. Critical thinking, negotiation skills, and excellent verbal and written communication are essential. The candidate should be adaptable, able to work independently and in groups, and demonstrate exceptional integrity and work ethic.

Secondary Skills (desired)
Prior experience of supporting the global legal teams on contract review process is an added advantage.
Role and Responsibilities
The Lead Legal at Lowe’s India will be responsible for independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to IT software, hardware, cloud, SAAS, consulting/advisory, and other professional services. The role includes monitoring the contract review process to ensure compliance with Lowe’s Agreement Guidelines and meeting the satisfaction of internal business units and stakeholders. The candidate will work with contract templates and playbooks and assist in continuously improving them. Additionally, they will assess risks under each contract and communicate these to the business.
