Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in independent practice, a chamber, or a law firm. The candidate should have substantial experience in civil and commercial litigation.
- Skills:
- Independent appearance before Courts/Tribunals in Delhi.
- In-depth knowledge of procedural laws and court practices.
- Proficient research skills, including the use of legal research tools like Manupatra and SCC Online.
- Strong drafting skills.
- Ability to manage end-to-end responsibility for legal matters and clients.
- Excellent command over language and inter-personal skills.
- Confidence and ability to handle matters independently.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to devising legal strategies.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate – Litigation at Areness Law, your key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting Pleadings and Legal Documents: Prepare and draft pleadings, deeds, applications, and other legal documents with precision.
- Devising Legal Strategies: Develop and implement effective legal strategies for various cases.
- Court Appearances and Advocacy: Represent clients in court, argue cases, and conduct cross-examinations.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Briefing Senior Advocates: Engage and brief Senior Advocates on complex legal matters.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other practice areas to ensure comprehensive legal support.
- Client and Case Management: Manage and maintain records, finance, and MIS related to legal matters.
