About Organization
The Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) is a statutory body established to provide a forum for the adjudication of disputes and complaints with respect to recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to public services and posts in connection with the affairs of the State of Maharashtra. The tribunal aims to ensure justice and fairness in service matters, providing an efficient and impartial platform for resolving administrative disputes.
Eligibility
– The candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
– A Judge of a High Court, or
– Has held the post of Additional Secretary to the Government of India or an equivalent or higher post in the Department of Legal Affairs or the Legislative Department, including Member-Secretary, Law Commission of India, or
– Has been a District Judge and Additional District Judge for a combined period of ten years, or
– Been an advocate with ten years of substantial experience in litigation in service matters in the Central Administrative Tribunal, Armed Forces Tribunal, High Court, or Supreme Court.

– Adjudicating disputes and complaints regarding recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to public services and posts in the State of Maharashtra.
– Ensuring justice and fairness in administrative matters.
– Providing legal expertise and guidance in the resolution of cases.
