Eligibility
To apply for the internship programme, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- For 5-Year Law Program: Students in their third year or above are welcome to apply.
- For 3-Year Law Program: Students in their second year or above are encouraged to apply.
This internship is ideal for law students eager to expand their knowledge and skills in a professional setting.
Role and Responsibilities
Interns at Maximus Legal® will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of substantive legal tasks, including:
- Legal Research: Conducting thorough research on legal issues, statutes, and case law to support ongoing cases and projects.
- Drafting Documents: Assisting in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and memos.
- Case Preparation: Supporting attorneys in case preparation by organizing evidence, summarizing depositions, and preparing exhibits.
- Client Interaction: Participating in client meetings, taking notes, and assisting in the communication of legal advice under the supervision of attorneys.
- Administrative Support: Performing general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the firm.
This hands-on experience will allow interns to develop their legal skills and gain insight into the workings of a professional law firm.
