Reddit Inc. is seeking an Associate General Counsel for the APAC region, based in India. This role is remote and full-time, designed for a mid-senior level professional with extensive legal experience. The successful candidate will be Reddit’s first legal representative in the APAC region, responsible for a wide range of legal matters and compliance with local regulations.

Eligibility
- A minimum of 12+ years of legal experience.
- At least 5+ years as in-house counsel.
- Experience in a regional/international counsel role for a U.S. headquartered company.
- Expertise in commercial contracts, litigation, product support, regulatory issues, and corporate matters.
- Significant experience interacting with regulators in India and across APAC.
- Experience managing or mentoring legal team members.
- Licensed to practice law in your jurisdiction, ideally with experience in multiple APAC jurisdictions.
- Passion for Reddit and its platform.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise on a variety of legal issues including local content regulations, intellectual property, privacy, employment, and commercial matters.
- Ensure compliance with India regulations, including the Information Technology Act and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with Reddit’s legal, public policy, trust & safety teams, and business teams operating in the region.
- Organize and lead team meetings, offsites, and training.
- Build and manage a regional legal team to ensure compliance with local laws.
