This is a full-time, on-site role for a Director-level position. Eligibility
– Minimum qualifications: LL.B. (required), LL.M. (preferable)
– Experience: 3-14 years in the legal department of a medium to large company, preferably in telecom, IT, or e-commerce, or at a reputed law firm
Role and Responsibilities
– Draft, vet, negotiate, and execute various strategic commercial agreements related to Procurement and Contract (P & C) for telecom, enterprise IT, and e-commerce with domestic and international third parties
– Prepare standard contract forms, guidelines for contract execution, and templates for IPR licensing clauses in agreements
– Facilitate interactions with cross-functional teams such as tax, IPR, industrial relations, and regulatory teams for various contracts and transactions
– Provide day-to-day legal advice to concerned teams, ensuring compliance with industry-specific and general laws
– Advise business stakeholders on legal strategies due to changes in laws, and on various legal and compliance issues as needed
– Offer solution-oriented guidance on specific issues to different functions
– Advise on IPR strategies to optimize protection, licensing, and revenue from IPR owned by Reliance
– Provide legal support for brand protection initiatives and assist the litigation team as needed
– Monitor business processes to ensure compliance with Indian legal and regulatory guidelines
– Minimize legal risks in contracts and ensure adherence to Reliance’s policies and practices
– Respond to complaints and disputes within a reasonable time
– Prepare MIS reports for business-related activities
– Hire, train, and manage legal talent at NHQ
