Terra Economics & Analytics Lab (TEAL) is seeking a Legal Executive for preparing Legal Scrutiny Reports and providing legal opinions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading analytics platform that supports decision-making in land and property sectors.

About the Terra Economics & Analytics Lab

TEAL is an end-to-end decision support platform for land and property, catering to banks, housing finance companies, real estate/infrastructure developers, retail investors, and transacting parties. TEAL’s analytical tools and services utilize data from land records, property registrations, tax filings, court mandates, land-use regulations, master plans, cadastral surveys, infrastructure plans, municipal by-laws, building codes, and planning requirements. TEAL’s comprehensive approach helps streamline property-related decisions for their clients.

Eligibility

To be considered for the Legal Executive position, candidates must:

  • Be capable of handling confidential documents.
  • Have 6 months to 3 years of experience in property laws, property due diligence, RERA, and title search reports.
  • Possess an understanding of real estate laws, with a strong knowledge of RERA being an added advantage.
  • Pay attention to detail and have strong analytical skills.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Be proficient in Kannada, Marathi, or Gujarati (reading proficiency in at least one of these languages is required).
  • A background in litigation is preferred but not compulsory.
  • Have prior experience in real estate law and knowledge of property documentation.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Legal Executive, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting and verifying title due diligence and providing legal opinions.
  • Drafting and vetting contracts and other legal documents.
  • Effectively managing assigned cases and timely reporting of escalations.
  • Coordinating with external counsels and clients.
  • Conducting research on land laws of different states and coordinating with vendors for securing documents and reports.
  • Handling property registration work.
  • Managing other related tasks as assigned.
