The One Stop Centre, under the guidance of the District Women & Child Welfare & Empowerment Officer (DWCWEO), East Godavari District, Rajamahendravaram, is inviting applications for the position of Case Worker (Contract Women) on a contractual basis. This role offers an opportunity for women professionals to contribute to projects that empower and support women in distress. The One Stop Centre (OSC) is a government initiative aimed at providing support and aid to women affected by violence, in both private and public spaces. The Centre works in collaboration with various departments and agencies to deliver medical, legal, and counseling support under one roof. OSC’s mission is to create a safe environment for women and ensure they receive comprehensive care when faced with difficult situations.
The OSC at East Godavari District operates under the District Women & Child Welfare & Empowerment Officer, serving as a crucial hub for women seeking justice, safety, and empowerment.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Case Worker position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in law, social work, sociology, social science, or psychology.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience working in women-related domains within government or non-government projects/programs.
- Residency: The applicant must be a local resident to ensure effective collaboration with the community and proper functioning of the Centre.
Applicants must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 42 years to be considered for the role.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Case Worker, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting women in distress by providing them with necessary legal, psychological, and social support.
- Managing cases and coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders for the welfare of the victims.
- Offering guidance and counseling to women affected by violence, ensuring they are aware of their rights and legal options.
- Documenting cases, preparing reports, and maintaining records in line with the requirements of the One Stop Centre.
- Collaborating with community members to spread awareness about the services provided by the Centre.
The Case Worker plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of women who come to the Centre for help.
