Eligibility
To apply for the position of Joint Advisor (Legal), candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Officers from the Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Statutory, or Autonomous Bodies:
- Holding an equivalent post at Level-13 on a regular basis, or
- Having five years of regular service at Level-12, or
- Having twelve years of service in Group A and having held a Level-12 post for at least five years.
- Educational Qualifications:
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, commerce, engineering, law, or science from a recognized university/institution, or membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI).
Role and Responsibilities
The Joint Advisor (Legal) is expected to:
- Provide legal advice and expertise in the drafting and vetting of regulations and policies.
- Oversee legal frameworks and ensure compliance with telecom laws and regulations.
- Assist in litigation management and handle disputes in telecom-related matters.
- Coordinate with different departments and offer support on legal matters related to the functioning of TRAI.
- Engage in research and analysis of legal developments impacting the telecom sector.
