Eligibility
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized institution is required. The candidate must hold a Certificate of Practice/Bar License from the Bar Council.
- Experience: While prior experience in litigation is preferred, exceptional freshers with relevant skills and a keen interest in litigation will also be considered.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of Indian Law and the legal system.
- Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and case preparation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Marathi.
- Familiarity with court procedures and practices, especially in Mumbai’s High Court and subordinate courts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PDF software, e-filing, and other legal tech systems.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Litigation Junior Associate at Khemka & Associates, your responsibilities will include:
- Litigation Management: Handling day-to-day litigation tasks across various courts in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai.
- Case Preparation: Preparing briefs, lists of dates, and conducting detailed research on cases. Assisting in the preparation of cases and finding relevant case laws.
- Court Assistance: Assisting senior lawyers in courts and during legal proceedings, including filing cases and performing related court work.
- Drafting: Engaging in elementary drafting with some prior experience, focusing on due diligence and other related matters.
- Research: Conducting in-depth legal research and assisting with the analysis of complex legal issues.
