About the Organisation
The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is a quasi-judicial authority in India that adjudicates matters related to company law. It plays a key role in addressing cases related to insolvency, restructuring, and other corporate disputes under the Companies Act, 2013. NCLT has multiple benches across India, each managing a high volume of corporate litigation and serving as a crucial institution for maintaining corporate governance and dispute resolution.
Eligibility
Joint Registrar
- Current Role: Candidates must be officers from the Central or State Government, Union Territories, courts, tribunals, statutory organizations, or higher judicial service:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis, OR
- Holding a post in level-12 of the Seventh Central Pay Commission with five years of regular service, OR
- Holding a post in level-11 with ten years of regular service.
- Educational Qualification: A degree in law from a recognized university.
- Experience: Candidates must have experience in personnel and administrative matters.
Deputy Registrar
- Current Role: Candidates must be officers working under the Central or State Government, Union Territories, courts, tribunals, or statutory organizations:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis, OR
- Holding a post in level-11 of the Seventh Central Pay Commission with five years of regular service.
- Educational Qualification: A degree in law from a recognized university.
- Experience: Candidates should have experience in administrative, establishment, or court matters.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Joint Registrar and Deputy Registrar will be responsible for managing administrative, personnel, and court-related functions within the NCLT. Their roles will involve coordinating between different benches, ensuring smooth case management, and handling legal documentation and procedural matters. They will also oversee daily administrative functions and contribute to the tribunal’s efficiency in handling complex corporate cases.
