Eligibility
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Law graduate with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in the Banking & Finance sector.
- In-depth knowledge of laws like the SARFAESI Act 2002, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Arbitration Act, and Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Strong drafting skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and the internal team.
- Leadership capabilities, including client management and team supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word for managing legal documents and reports.
This role is best suited for individuals who are meticulous in their approach, enjoy client-facing responsibilities, and have a strong understanding of banking laws.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Legal Associate at Kay & Partners, you will be responsible for:
- Drafting and scrutinizing legal notices and responses, with a focus on Banking & Finance compliance.
- Engaging with clients to understand their legal requirements and delivering solutions that meet their needs.
- Supervising and managing a team dedicated to handling Banking & Finance clients, ensuring that client matters are addressed promptly.
- Maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS) on a weekly and monthly basis to track progress and compliance.
- Handling regulatory filings and documentation related to Banking & Finance matters.
