About the Organization
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is an autonomous, statutory organization established by the SEBI Act of 1992. SEBI’s primary function is to protect the interests of investors in securities, promote the development of the securities market, and regulate its operations.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Young Professional Program, candidates must meet specific criteria. The candidate must be an Indian citizen under the age of 30 as of the date of publication of the advertisement. Additionally, candidates should possess a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, knowledge of Information Technology tools, research aptitude, excellent communication skills, and good judgment and interpersonal abilities.
Role and Responsibilities
Young Professionals at SEBI will be involved in a variety of tasks, including research, policy analysis, market regulation, and investor protection initiatives. They will work closely with SEBI’s teams to contribute to the development and regulation of India’s securities market. The role requires a high level of dedication, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Perks
Young Professionals will receive a monthly stipend of INR 70,000, which includes all benefits. Taxes will be deducted at source as per applicable laws. SEBI does not take responsibility for any additional taxes or contributions required from the stipend.
Mode and Location
The Young Professional Program will take place at SEBI’s offices across various locations in India.
Mode of Engagement: contractual
Duration: initial duration of one year, (may be extended up to a maximum of three years based on performance and organizational requirements).
